Happy Ending

hello . i still have nothing new . and that is rather sad .

but anyways , i just felt like i had to post this . because i just found out some news that bummed me out and it so happened that Adriel just asked on my cbox if Addatune paid me which is relative to the news that bummed me out . So to answer you Adriel , no they didnt . But i didn't expect to get paid .

Thing is , i made 18+ logos for em , and they didn't like any enough to make it official (though they did use my logo in their myspace banner) . They then went on and got a new logotype person without telling me (i had to find out from their blog) . So yes that was rather rude . Well , i did take a long time to do the logos , my bad on that , but yes , they could've told me that it wasn't working out and just say thank you .

Yes they really could have . Jerks .

But i guess jerks just come by to make the less jerk-ey ones as good as donuts .

sorry i haven't updated in such a long long time . i don't know , i just seem to have lost that certain something in me that wanted to create . so i decided to take a break , open my eyes to a wider spectrum of art and hopefully , that certain something will come back soon .

anyways , if you remember , i once mentioned i was attracted to fashion photography , well guess what , now i'm really into it . My sister , Cherish has been feeding me with all these fashion blogs and i'm really expanding my knowledge about fashion and getting in-touch with my girly side . so yeah , maybe i'll give fashion photography a try since the photoshop side of me isn't working very well .

okay now , my sister and her boyfriend decided to start a new blog dedicated to photography called Omnyomnyom (rather odd name i know , but it's an inside joke between us) , so go check it out and if you like it , leave a comment coz that would make her really pleased .

Everything suddenly seems as if it requires Illustrator to create .

Thing is , i have no freaking idea how to use Illustrator . I have tried , and tried , and tried to be friends with it and learn it's ways . But i just can never get the hang of it .

Illustrator , i just can't bear but hate you .

I'm also starting to really lay off photoshop brushes . They all of a sudden seem pretty ... amateur .

Addatune

So for those of you who have been visiting my blog for quite some time now , you'd probably know that i have been working with Addatune a soul/funk/pop Swedish Myspace band to help them create a logo . And over a period of ... a long time (my bad) , i came up with 19 logos . I have some personal favorites but Addatune decided to use the first one for their Myspace banner . And yeah , when i opened their myspace profile (http://www.myspace.com/addatunemusic) and saw that huge banner , it kinda made my heart skip a beat . But as i stared at it , I don't know , the logo seems a little ... odd .

Haha my logo sorta ruined their nice picture (they got a pretty damn good photographer) . These boys have really become pretty professional though . Photoshoots , new improve quality for their songs , loads of gigs , and meetings with managers and producers . Makes me pretty damn nervous .

But just like every process , what i've really learnt from this long process is that some of us are good at some things and just suck at other things . Well i obviously suck as a logo designer . I also learnt that logo designing is rather torturous for the mind . BUT ! I will not complain , coz i know i am damn lucky to be doing this for these guys .

Oh well ! I'm gonna stop typing now , look how many words this post has . Gonna go look for some serious inspiration .

OH OH ! One more thing ... I started listening to one of Addatune's member's friend , Mary Jane and found her pretty darn awesome . For those of you who appreciate rather emo acoustic songs , you should really give her a shot . She's pretty big in Sweden .

It's the holidays and I am enjoying myself to my greatest possibility . But what disappointed me was that i waited 2 whole weeks just to go to Borders to get a new Computer Arts magazine , and when i reached there , horrifyingly , there were none . Hope they didn't just decide to stop selling CAs :O

Anyways , working on something new so be sure to come back :D

Mad World

This one was deeply influenced and inspired by Chuck Anderson (he's still my ultimate) . I tried looking up some tutorials on lighting effects but i didn't really understand what they were saying and they didn't give the effect i wanted . So i just went by common sense and trial and error . Hopefully my brains didn't fail me this time . I've actually been thinking about this piece for almost 2 weeks now but didn't have the time to do it . Finally got it done , love the hols :D

Took an approximate , 2+ hours . Suggestions anyone ?
