I AM BACK ! yes i have been "on hiatus" for months and months and MONTHS . it'll be an AMAZING surprise if anyone still actually reads this damn blog . BUT STILL . i feel like updating it .

so yes , i am still into design of course , it's just that i haven't really created much . but now that i am taking a new IT course (which sucks because the lecturer is teaching us how to use the quick selection tool and wait for it ... grab tool ; real advanced i know) i've been back into editing some stuff .

yeah doing a lotta fashion related stuff nowadays . well , that's all for now ! i have updated , and that feels goooooood .

hello . i still have nothing new . and that is rather sad .

but anyways , i just felt like i had to post this . because i just found out some news that bummed me out and it so happened that Adriel just asked on my cbox if Addatune paid me which is relative to the news that bummed me out . So to answer you Adriel , no they didnt . But i didn't expect to get paid .

Thing is , i made 18+ logos for em , and they didn't like any enough to make it official (though they did use my logo in their myspace banner) . They then went on and got a new logotype person without telling me (i had to find out from their blog) . So yes that was rather rude . Well , i did take a long time to do the logos , my bad on that , but yes , they could've told me that it wasn't working out and just say thank you .

Yes they really could have . Jerks .

But i guess jerks just come by to make the less jerk-ey ones as good as donuts .

sorry i haven't updated in such a long long time . i don't know , i just seem to have lost that certain something in me that wanted to create . so i decided to take a break , open my eyes to a wider spectrum of art and hopefully , that certain something will come back soon .

anyways , if you remember , i once mentioned i was attracted to fashion photography , well guess what , now i'm really into it . My sister , Cherish has been feeding me with all these fashion blogs and i'm really expanding my knowledge about fashion and getting in-touch with my girly side . so yeah , maybe i'll give fashion photography a try since the photoshop side of me isn't working very well .

Everything suddenly seems as if it requires Illustrator to create .

Thing is , i have no freaking idea how to use Illustrator . I have tried , and tried , and tried to be friends with it and learn it's ways . But i just can never get the hang of it .

Illustrator , i just can't bear but hate you .

I'm also starting to really lay off photoshop brushes . They all of a sudden seem pretty ... amateur .

So for those of you who have been visiting my blog for quite some time now , you'd probably know that i have been working with Addatune a soul/funk/pop Swedish Myspace band to help them create a logo . And over a period of ... a long time (my bad) , i came up with 19 logos . I have some personal favorites but Addatune decided to use the first one for their Myspace banner . And yeah , when i opened their myspace profile (http://www.myspace.com/addatunemusic) and saw that huge banner , it kinda made my heart skip a beat . But as i stared at it , I don't know , the logo seems a little ... odd .

Haha my logo sorta ruined their nice picture (they got a pretty damn good photographer) . These boys have really become pretty professional though . Photoshoots , new improve quality for their songs , loads of gigs , and meetings with managers and producers . Makes me pretty damn nervous .

But just like every process , what i've really learnt from this long process is that some of us are good at some things and just suck at other things . Well i obviously suck as a logo designer . I also learnt that logo designing is rather torturous for the mind . BUT ! I will not complain , coz i know i am damn lucky to be doing this for these guys .

Oh well ! I'm gonna stop typing now , look how many words this post has . Gonna go look for some serious inspiration .

OH OH ! One more thing ... I started listening to one of Addatune's member's friend , Mary Jane and found her pretty darn awesome . For those of you who appreciate rather emo acoustic songs , you should really give her a shot . She's pretty big in Sweden .

It's the holidays and I am enjoying myself to my greatest possibility . But what disappointed me was that i waited 2 whole weeks just to go to Borders to get a new Computer Arts magazine , and when i reached there , horrifyingly , there were none . Hope they didn't just decide to stop selling CAs :O

This one was deeply influenced and inspired by Chuck Anderson (he's still my ultimate) . I tried looking up some tutorials on lighting effects but i didn't really understand what they were saying and they didn't give the effect i wanted . So i just went by common sense and trial and error . Hopefully my brains didn't fail me this time . I've actually been thinking about this piece for almost 2 weeks now but didn't have the time to do it . Finally got it done , love the hols :D

Took an approximate , 2+ hours . Suggestions anyone ?

I've been looking around for some inspiration and new techniques when i stumbled across a very talented , creative , and experienced 18 year old graphic designer from Netherlands , Rik Oostenbroek . What's super awesome bout him is that he's already had 4-years of experience , he rarely uses any other programs besides Photoshop , he has an amazing eye for color , and he's got some serious creativity .

This world's a little messed up don't you think so ?
Well here's some examples i would like to show .

Example number 1 :
We humans are superior ,
All because we have the opposable thumb .
Yet we use it to fire guns and bring violence ,
Wouldn't it be better if there was nothing there but a stump ?

Example number 2:
There are movies where ,
A girl and a guy loves one another .
And in the end it turns out to be ,
The guy is actually her brother .

Example number 3:
There are teenagers out there ,
Who bring the blades upon themselves because their unhappy .
Yet there are others ,
Who take ecstasy to make themselves go wild and crazy .

Example number 4:
Celebrities and millionaires ,
All flashing and spending their money ,
While they can see on the streets ,
Little children have to beg miserably .

Example number 5:
So many robbers and thieves ,
Lurking around every corner and alley .
It isn't safe outside anymore ,
One can never walk alone ... well hardly .

Example number 6:
Be thin ! Be rich ! Look good !
The pressure suffocating one is unbearable ,
The only way out is suicide ,
It's way too much for one to handle .

Example number 7:
Polar bears , oh such cute things !
They used to live on glaciers and ice ,
Now their walking on brown soil .
Just look at the sadness in their eyes !

Example number 8:
Everything is about competition ,
Everyone is willing to keep fighting ,
Because everyone wants to be a winner ,
So lives they keep on killing .

What kind of world do we live in ?

I'm bursting with anger right now,
Because something has burst my vein somehow.
Let me tell you what it is...
Well you see, it's certain people that made me like this.

The insides of me are bubbling and gurgling,
While my blood is gushing and fuming.
I cannot take it anymore,
This time i'm angry right to the core.

Respect is given when received,
Yet taken away when deceived.
Trust also works the same way,
You cannot undo what you say.

We've always thought the adults knew best,
So we put our simple trust in them and rest.
Little do we know how they misuse it,

I'm not generalizing for all parents and adults,
Neither am i saying all this as an insult.

Because certain adults have tried to dig out private information.

Because we teenage kids have our own stuff,

Find A Way Back Into Love

Music and Lyrics.
My my what a show.
It isn't boring like Physics.
Is it ordinary then? Hell no.

Why is it so good you wonder?
Well there's nothing really much about to ponder.
Just watch the show and you'll get a feeling,
A feeling that would send you jumping around and singing.

The thing that really added spice to the story,
Was the main actor and actress who made everything so funny.
Hugh Grant and Drew Barrymore,
They just make you want to cry out for more more more.

Also, watching the show makes you feel,
"Gosh i wish my life was like that. *sigh* Too bad this isn't real."
I mean how wonderful is it to find a British accent guy that writes lyrics and plays the piano?
Almost as good i tell you, as finding one like Josh Farro.

And Drew Barrymore,
Rarely do you find someone like her character anymore.
She writes lyrics that are from her heart,
And makes you laugh right from the start.
She says what she feels is right,
Even when she knows it's something you wouldn't like.

So there, if you ever happen to come across it,
Just take the time, sit down, and watch it.
I can't guarantee everyone will enjoy it,
All i can tell you is that i really did.

Because Bryan has been pestering me over and over again.

He wanted me to write a poem about him,
No not talking about how he's trying to get slim,
But about the present he got for me,
Which made me jump up and down in glee.

What is it you ask ?
Well it is something I will never mask.
Because it was created so beautifully,
With talent splashed all over it magically.

It is a round thin thing,
Simple yet so amazing.
It is flimsy and breakable,
Yet it is so incredible.

When it starts spinning round and round,
It can make you feel either sound or down,
Yes it is a powerful item,
So powerful, your life it can darken or lighten.

Have you guessed yet what 'it' is ?
If you still haven't you've probably started to hiss.
Well let me tell you then what is this incredible object,
It is just something that one can never reject.

Okay I've dropped more than enough clues,
To make sure you'll guess it and not be in the blues.

Yes! I'm leaving it up to you to think,
What this mad woman has been talking about, yes that stupid thing.

You're probably all mad at yourself now,
Because you read this whole poem somehow,
Just to find out what that damn thing was,
And end up finding your thoughts were all false.

Because I'm not telling you what it is yet,
Just wait wait, come back and visit sometime later... don't forget!

The Surprise

15 years just passed by ,
yeah time can really fly .

This day makes me think of what life has been ,
What I have gone through and everything I've seen .

This day is also so amazing ,
Because of just simply ... everything .

First , I was surprised in school ,
By my group of friends who are oh so cool .
Yeah I'm talking about Sonia, Jazmin, Kharenee, and Maka,
Aaron, Bernard, Wing Yang, Kim, Belinda,
Mark, Denise, Jun Ming, You Jin, and Jessica.
These are the people who bothered to put in a little effort and money,
To put together a surprise, and get me presents.... oh so many!

They bought a huge cake,
A real cake, not one that's fake.
They bought a huge card,
Reading it was my favorite part.
They bought a pair of shoes,
Which Sonia, Jazmin, and Kharenee took a long time to choose.

But even with all the wonderful presents,
The thing I enjoyed the most was everyone's presence.
The thought they put into it was very touching,
It also made the surprise even more breathtaking.

So thanks again to all of you,
Who made this day so wonderful.
Never will I ever forget it,
Because I felt so touched and ecstatic.

Here I am sitting on my bed,
I start writing.
I think about all the things that's been said,
My mind is racing.

You were always there for me,
Whether I needed you or not.
It's been 15 years now that you've cradled me,
And still I haven't forgot.

How you sacrificed so much of yourself,
Time, money, care, and love.
I don't need any of the world's wealth,
Because the wisdom you give me is enough.

There were times when I made you cry,
And I didn't even apologize.
Still you bothered to teach me how to fly,
And attend to all my cries.

We've been through so much together,
Crying and laughing.
My every need you bother,
You do the best in caring.

You taught me the ways of God,
Helping me to grow in Him.
And up till now I still haven't forgot,
How He shines in my life and will never grow dim.

All thanks to you I'm able to go this far,
With my studies and in life.
You taught me how to think outside of the jar,
And how the impossible is possible when you strive.

I don't know how I can ever repay your love,
Or your care and sacrifices.
All I can do is write those words above,
And show how much I appreciate your goodness.

You're all loving and wonderful,
Enjoyable and fun.
Amazing and yes also cool,
This is everything you are mum.

Oh the mighty Michael Phelps !
Your ears so huge, I think it helps.
Dad says their aerodynamic,
It amazes everyone and makes them frantic,
To think of how quickly you can swim,
Think you'd still win gold even if you had a limp.

How on earth did you do it?
How else? You trained and kept fit,
Yes I hope that's how you really did it,
Instead of using the very popular "drug kit".

Anyhow, 8 golds you achieved,
Making people believe,
That in London you'll make it nine,
And you can say " Their all mine mine mine ! "

Some chicks think you look " sooooo hotttt ! "
But I think " Oh my gosh , sooo nottt ! "
Mum thinks you look a lot like a monkey,
Some think you look down right funky.
But hey hey,
With his looks we shall not get carried away.
He DID after all break records after records,
Using probably all sorts of methods.

Never again can he live normally amongst people,
Because he stands out just like a pimple.
Maybe because of his big radar ears and humongous smile,
He will probably be known as Water/Aquaman, yes for a long long while.

The Package from a sister .

Tonight, another poem I write yet again,
Because if I don't I think I would feel extreme pain.
Why do you ask that I would feel such?
Because my love for Cherish has grown. Oh yes, so much!

Two CDs in a package she sent from Australia,
Which made me go into a Lostprophets and Dandy Warhols mania,
Yes you read that right!
The very two bands I like.
No wait, like is an understatement, yes it is,
Because when I hear their music I feel bliss.

Having the thought in her mind,
Cherish went on a search to find.
Because their CDs not available in Malaysia,
She was willing to search in Australia.

After being able to find what she knew I wanted,
She sent it home and I was more than delighted.
So Pepper sort of scratched and ruined the outside of the CDs,
Because she found the package before I seized it.
But still, what an awesome surprise,
Cherish really deserves the first prize,
For being a really really awesome sister,
And seriously, no one else can beat her.

Today I'm here to say and share,
A VERY BLESSED BIRTHDAY CHE !
A poem I've written for you,
Because you've been so wonderful ... yes it's true .

" Let's go shopping ! " you said,
" I hope the malls are all closed " I prayed,
You'd dress up to go for a party,
I wouldn't bother even when i looked terribly messy,
Yes in almost everything we differ,
Still, you're my one and only sister.

Even if there were between us our difference,
I'd still really enjoy your presence.
I love sitting in your room just talking and laughing,
Because a lot closer we were getting.

Thank you for all the times you helped me,
And also for guiding me when i couldn't see.
For all my 15 years you've been awesome,
In helping me not to be lonesome.
You are not only a sister, but a best friend,
I think being more like you should be a trend,

So here my poem I'm ending,

Sorry i couldn't get you a solid present,
And that reading something isn't as pleasant,

Life is disappointing they say,
And once again, it is proven today.

Lin Dan, Lin Dan, oh so proud,
Shouting and screaming to the crowd,
You have an ego so terribly big,
Million times bigger than the belly of a pig,
" Our secret weapon! " his coaches proudly claim,
Once again, he shoots to fame,
Standing on that podium, he takes the gold,
What's the point? His heart is still so cold,
Overconfidence overflow in his mind,
His heart and eyes are still so blind.

Chong Wei, Chong Wei, our only hope,
Yet the gold medal still slipped like soap,
To the Olympics you carried our flag,
To bring home a silver in your bag,
Sure we're disappointed it wasn't a gold,
But still you went there, brave and bold,
You are still a champion in our eyes,
Even when we waved the gold goodbyes,
Because a silver medal you won for us,
Fair and square, and oh so just.

The Detestable Box

Friends, teenagers, TV addicts ! Lend me your ears !

I come to bury the TV , not to praise it ,

The evil that it brings , is sort of plenty ,

The good that it brings ... I can't think of any .

So let me tell you why .

The noble television hath told us , to be skinny is pretty ,

If you were not so , you are ugly .

And grievously hath we stated it publicly .

Here we are , all under the stronghold of the TV ,

It is such a detestable box .

Come I to speak of it's wicked influence .

It is my brother's friend , faithful and pleasing ,

But to me , it's cold and deceiving .

Oh it is such a detestable box .

It has brought many captives to the couch ,

Held ransom till their asses go "ouch",

I once favored it but it caused me my gullibility,

So never again will I say it is satisfactory,

Oh that detestable box.
